How we install a new fence

Most fences fail at the posts, not the boards. Every fence installation starts with accurate setting out and posts set firmly at a depth suited to the ground and the height of the fence. Ground around Woking ranges from sandy heathland soil towards Horsell Common and Bisley to heavier clay in parts of the town, and the post fixing has to suit it.

Boards or panels are then aligned, gravel boards fitted where needed and gates hung square, so the new fence looks straight from every angle and keeps working for years.

Choosing materials for new fencing

As fence installers we fit feather edge and closeboard fencing, lap and tongue and groove panels, trellis-topped fencing, picket fencing, post and rail, security fencing and matching timber gates.

Timber posts suit most gardens and look softer against planting; concrete posts with concrete gravel boards resist rot at ground level and make future panel changes easier. We will talk through privacy, exposure, budget and maintenance before you decide.

Replacing an ageing boundary fence

Replacement fencing is often the most cost-effective answer when posts have rotted along the run and sections are leaning. We take down and remove the old fence, posts and concrete, then install the new fence line in one visit wherever possible.

Your quote follows a free site visit and sets out materials, labour, removal and disposal, and any upgrades such as concrete posts. The price we agree is the price you pay.
